Hello. I am Sim Jeong-su, the chairperson of the first half of the ninth Geumsan Gun Council.

We sincerely welcome you to the website of Geumsan Gun Council.

The ninth Geumsan Gun Council opened with the support and encouragement of 50,000 Geumsan-gun residents.

Hereafter, the Geumsan Gun Council will actively engage in activities tailored to the needs of the citizens in order to create an “open, trusted council which communicates and walks with residents.”

First, we will listen to diverse voices from the residents, help solve the difficulties of the local community, and create the city of Geumsan, where all citizens are happy.

Furthermore, we will strengthen our role of supervision and monitoring, which constitute the essential function of the council, and will make our best efforts so that the policies for Geumsan citizens are implemented appropriately.

In particular, in line with the changed status of local councils, we will accelerate the autonomy of local governance by making the council “an institution which studies and researches”.
