The right of petition is the oldest traditional right among the rights of people which are assured in civil, law-governed countries. In South Korea, it is written and defined in Article 26 of the Constitution.
With this right, people can show their opinions or wished in written document or appeal help to the government
when they think their rights or interests are violated.
